FINDING JEANS TO FIT YOUR CURVES

So I know I'm not the only one who has hips, and a bottom. Sometimes its a little difficult to find the right jeans or pants for your body. Luckily so many brands now a days are starting to cater more and more to the curvy girls. I remember being in high school and finding jeans at JCPenny because every time I would go to another store they literally fit horrible. Or if they were my size they made my mid section look really sloppy because the waist was to big. I'm gonna share with you how I shop for jeans and what brands I've found to have the best fit of jeans for my body type.
The first thing I look at when picking the right pair of jeans for me is...
THE CUT
Are the jeans, high waisted, low rise, boyfriend fit. Finding the right cut is important. I know I don't look very good in boyfriend jeans unless the waist is a little more fitting. So I highly suggest finding a cut that you like and that flatters your areas. Remember every body style is different even if it is curvy.
THE WASH
I love a dark wash jean. They make me feel more slimmer, they kind of have the same effect as when you wear dark colored clothes. But I also love a nice light wash jean or even white. So find what colors your love and go for those.
THE MATERIAL
I like to jeans to have a little stretch in them. But I DON'T want jeggings. So I always check the label to see what blend they have.
THE BRAND
I typically shop at 2tores for my jeans. Target and Fashion Nova, they have the best selection of jeans for me and my body type and I haven't been more happy.
With target I usually try the jeans on but they have labels that say curvy fit, slim, fit and the curvy fit. Is really nice.
With fashion nova with it being an online retail shop it is a little more work because I look at the model and also the fabric of clothing to make sure it will fit me nicely. They have a size guide and for me it has been true to size so that really helps.

I have been making salmon salad for as long as I can remember. I don't eat tuna so having salmon salad was a nice alternative for me. Recently I have been using cucumbers in my salad instead of celery and let me tell you, it has been a GAME CHANGER. The crunch and taste of the cucumber is just perfect. I like to use the small Persian or English cucumbers( they always have a nice crunchy taste) but you can use whatever you prefer. I've enjoyed it so much I wanted to come on here and share it.
I like pairing it with crackers or adding it on a bed of lettuce tastes really good also. Or you can just eat it plain and for an easy lunch you can add it some some bread and have the perfect sandwich.

Let me start out by saying I WOULD do it again and I have a few reasons why but I also want to share my care tips and just how I managed my hair and how the process went. So I dyed my hair a year ago and I did it myself and no I'm not a hair stylist by any means but I did a lot of research and watched a lot of tutorials before I did. I loved the results and the color.

I'm gathering up my favorite winter items I've found on amazon! Let me just start out by saying I did not know amazon had so many cute and affordable fashion items for women. I have spent so many weeks, hours, days searching for jackets, sweaters boots etc. I probably have spent way to much but hey the fall and winter are the best times to look good right? I have been in the mood for large oversized sweater and just cute jackets. I even bought some really cute stylish boots. One things about living in Arizona is, it doesn't stay cold very long so I love getting the most wear out of my winter clothes.

NEW YEAR FITNESS GOALS + NORMAL BODIES

The new year is here and 2021 is going to be a good one. Speaking positive vibes all year long because we all need it right?! Well today I'm talking all about fitness and body goals for this year. I also wanted to talk about normal bodies. First things first I am on a fitness journey and I'm determined to be more healthy with my eating but also with my workout and leaning out and also toning.
Nobodies body is the same as the next we all have our quirkiness and unique features about us and I'm here to say THATS NORMAL. A happy healthy body is normal, it doesn't have to be super defined or toned. you don't have to be super skinny or super oversized. be you, be whatever your comfortable with as long as your healthy. Normal bodies may have scars, marks, scratches and its all beautiful so I just have to say to all my young or older ladies normal bodies are sexy!
My Personal Goal
I really want to lean out and tone this year but mainly I just want to overall lean out. My target areas are my mid section and arms. We all have things we aspire to be in our own personal journeys and this year I'm holding myself accountable.
My Meals + Eating
I'm really focusing on foods that are going to lean me out. I'm cutting out a lot of carbs but mainly focusing on vegetables, fruits and Salmon. I want to eat to nourish my body and keep it running and healthy. I don't really enjoy meal prepping because I like cooking my food fresh everyday. Instead I like to cut up a bowl of veggies or pre wash my veggies, so all I have to do is grab them out of the fridge and cook them. I will also defrost my fish the night before.
Fitness+ Workouts
Over the past few weeks I have been saving workouts from different Instagram accounts that I have either tried or want to do. I created a folder on Instagram, labeled it workouts and saved all the workouts I loved in that folder. I also have a few Youtube accounts I like to follow for free HIIT workouts. And last but certainly not least walking daily or every other day. I also have 2 10 pound weights. Two 8 pound weights and also two 4 pound leg weights. That is what I will be using for my at home workouts.

5 THINGS I LEARNED IN 2020 | RECAP

With this year winding down I wanted to take some time and write out 5 things I learned this year.
1. STOCK UP ON HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
As we all know things were kind of wild at the beginning of the year or around there and honestly having back ups of things you use daily is a lesson learned. My rule now is if I go to the store to buy something I will always buy 2, just in case and to always have an extra. Whether is toilet paper, toothpaste, soap. Keep extras in your house because you never know. And of course a nice stock pile of food is always good to have in any emergency!
2. STAY CONSISTENT IN YOUR PASSION
If you have a dream or a passion you love. Never quit, continue every single day. grow and build on that passion. We people say consistency is key, well they are telling the truth to an extent. Staying consistent in a job, career or just a hobby. You will continue to grow and become better and better. We are all here for a reason and we all have something to offer in this world. It doesn't matter is 100 people do the same thing. When its your passion you may do it slightly different and make it yours.
3. VITAMINS ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF YOUR HEALTH
I had the best hair growth this year. I was taking prenatal vitamins when I had my son and my hair was so healthy and shiny even after I dyed it. I felt like I had so much more energy and my nails didn't feel brittle and weak. So I would definitely suggest adding a daily vitamin to your health for all of those nutrients we just don't get on a daily basis.
4. NOTHING IN LIFE IS GOING TO BE PERFECT AND THATS OK
This one is so so true. I've have always struggled with wanting this to go perfect or be right. I wouldn't upload a picture if I found one thing I didn't like I was very critical but honestly who cares. This is life, we live we learn we grow and nothing is ever going to be perfect and that's ok
5. SELF CARE IS THE BEST CARE
I have to say I always knew self care was important but there is physical and mental heath care and both need to be maintained and groomed like anything else in your life. Honestly mental health is probably the MOST important. You always have to make sure your mind is prepared for anything in life and that you can handle anything life throws at you. So constantly checking on your mental health is essential. As well as physically taking care of yourself though food, exercise or body treatments like massages, facials etc. Take care of yourself first and always.
